Artists Statement
The physical process of putting paint down, deliberate risk taking, and occurrence of the unexpected in making a painting are all vital to my work process. My choice of subject matter is basically intuitive, reflecting my own sensibility. It touches on universal themes as well: alienation, individual will, and the passage of time. It is my hope that the paintings manage to capture the sense of beauty, endurance and resignation that mimics my own vision of life.
